PATTERN INFO

Like the gentle ridges left by wind and sea, Sandlines features small twisted cables that move across the fabric in soft, flowing lines. The design is inspired by quiet moments at the shore, where the tide goes out and the breeze shapes fine patterns in the sand. These subtle textures give the scarf a calm, natural rhythm that echoes the shifting landscape of the coast.

The stitch pattern is simple yet detailed, making it an engaging knit that works well in a variety of yarns. It is an easy-to-knit and easy-to-wear piece, suited for quiet days by the sea or everyday moments when you want a touch of nature close by.

YARN

Malabrigo Worsted (100% Merino Wool, 100 gr-210yds/192m), 1 skein. Sample yardage (202yds/185m) in color Simple Taupe.
Consider purchasing an extra skein if your gauge is off or if you prefer a longer/wider scarf.

Or any aran/worsted weight yarn: approx. 202-235yds (185-215m) total.

MATERIALS

24” (minimum 60 cm) circular or straight needles.
US 9 (5.5 mm).
Stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle.

GAUGE - BLOCKED 4" (10 CM)

In cable pattern, 22 stitches x 26 rows.
Gauge is not crucial at all, but will affect final size and yardage.

FINISHED DIMENSIONS

Approx. 55" (140 cm) wingspan along top edge 9” (x23 cm) width.
Unblocked: 51" (130 cm) x 8" (20 cm).
