Pattern info

This lightweight but warm accessory for an in-between season is inspired by linear fields of tulip bulbs growing near my home in the Netherlands. The delightfully curved bulbs are accented with vertical and horizontal bands, and the asymmetrical triangle is edged with i-cord for a polished look.

'Spring Bulbs' is an international project, with the Northern European design shown here in mYak's 'Tibetan Cloud,' a soft, cashmere-like, fiber made from Tibetan sheep that are bred and sheered according to traditional practices; the fiber is then spun and dyed at the foothills of the Italian Alps.

A fast but satisfying knit, your own version will be ready to fling over your shoulders in just a short time and will protect you in style from any lingering chills while the flowers begin to bloom.

The shawl is worked flat from the right tip to the left edge. The pattern is fully written out with stitch counts and charted.
