Pattern info

An instant classic to match the hat, 'Wavy Stream' is a unisex cabled (loop) cowl. Shown here in a soft, chained yarn by Woolfolk.

A honeycomb pattern lends lively interest and texture to the fabric.

The cowl starts with a provisional cast-on and is finished with an easy graft. Videos for both the cast-on and graft can be found in the pattern.

Yarn

Woolfolk Får (100% Ovis 21 Ultimate Merino Wool, 50 gr-142yds/130m).
Samples yardage, 541yds/495m in color 00 natural (4 skeins).
Or any DK weight yarn: approx. 525-635yds (480-580m).

Materials

24” (minimum 60 cm) circular or straight needles.
US 7 (4.5 mm)
Stitch markers, cable needle, tapestry needle.

Gauge - blocked 4" (10 cm)

In cable pattern, 22 stitches x 30 rows.
Gauge is not crucial at all, but will affect final size and yardage.

Finished dimensions

Approx 55” (138 cm) circumference, x 10.5“ (26 cm) height.
